Greetings From Post 10 Auxiliary
Service, Not Self
My name is Amanda Szalewski and I am the current president of Unit 10 of the American Legion Auxiliary. For those that may not know, the American Legion Auxiliary is the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization. For almost century, Auxiliary members have serving, helping and meeting the needs of our veterans, active duty military members and their families. Our motto, “Service, not Self”, drives our mission to help those that have serviced our nation both here and abroad.
As president of the Unit, it is my goal to motivate members and find ways that they can contribute to the success of our Unit. We have many different programs through the American Legion Auxiliary that members can participate in – from Children and Youth to Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation to Public Relations to Community Service to Americanism – there is something for everyone. If you are interested in any part of our organization, I would encourage you to attend one of our monthly membership meetings to hear what our Unit is doing, talk to our members and we will help you find a place within our organization that will capitalize upon your strengths.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about our Unit or the organization as a whole. We are always excited to gain new members to our organization and to share all of the wonderful ways our members are helping out in our community and with our veterans and active duty military.
